American & French Oak

Unique Malbec Twist

Aging in both French and American oak creates a perfect balance of elegance and richness. French oak imparts subtle spice, fine tannins, and structure, while American oak adds bold vanilla, caramel, and a touch of sweetness. This dual aging process enhances complexity, depth, and a smooth, layered finish—making Voyant Malbec a truly unique expression unlike your typical Malbec. It pushes beyond tradition, offering a richer, more refined experience in every sip.

Cellaring Potential

The Voyant Reserva Malbec has a strong pedigree for cellaring. This vintage is no exception, and with correct storage, it will age beautifully for 10+ years. The 2022 vintage was a fantastic year for the Uco Valley region, with just the right balance of sunlight and Andean snowmelt that promises exquisite Malbecs.

Our Vineyard

This Malbec was harvested from our vineyards in Tunuyán in Uco Valley, planted in 1998. Our east-facing slope sits at 3,200 feet above sea level, where high elevation and intense sunlight create thick-skinned grapes, giving our Malbec its signature bold, fruit-forward profile.

The dry, sunny climate and significant day-to-night temperature shifts promote healthy growth and protect against pests. Deep, alluvial soils force vine roots to search for water, enhancing the unique expression of Tupungato's terroir in the Voyant Reserve Malbec 2022.
